The College Arts + Humanities Institute presents a “Meet the Author” event with Justin Garcia, Senior Scientist and Executive Director from the Kinsey Institute. In The Intimate Animal, Garcia “offers a wide-ranging look at how intimacy evolved and why it remains central to the human experience.” A reception will follow.
Dr. Justin Garcia is Executive Director and Senior Scientist at the Kinsey Institute, Ruth N. Halls Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, and Founding Co-Director of Human Sexuality and Health at the IU School of Medicine. He has consulted with a variety of industry partners and is currently the Chief Scientific Advisor to Match, where he provides expertise for the annual Singles in America study. His research has been featured widely in the media, focusing on people’s romantic and sexual lives throughout the life course.
