The mission of the College Arts and Humanities Institute (CAHI) has two central components: 1) to foster the creation of new knowledge through the support of research and creative work in the arts and humanities in the College, and 2) to serve as a public advocate for the arts and humanities in order to demonstrate how our work provides essential intellectual leadership on a wide range of matters of concern.
We pursue these goals through public programming of wide appeal, through individual research awards, and through support for disciplinary and interdisciplinary programs, symposia, events, research meetings and professional development opportunities.
